Close your eyes
Let me speak to your soul
Where the tangible all fades
And content of character is gold

If we could love like a blind man
Where would our sense of beauty lie
In her sheer existence
Her words would sound like lullabies
Her intellect would move you to depths that you never seen
Her loyalty would confuse you
She was built to stand next to a king

She touches hearts
Eases minds
Builds you up
Gives you life
Her understanding knows no bounds
She speaks to your soul but makes no sound

She's once in a lifetime
Crafted by God
Bone of your bone
Flesh of your flesh

Black Sheep 1.3

Chapter 1
1.3 Ancestry: Frantic

“Okay there must be some logical explanation for this.” Tristan said as she stood up and started to pace. Ash was at her heels with every step. “They must have given me the wrong results.” She said. “I mean should I call the police?” she asked. “Do I look for myself on some missing child database?” she wondered. Tristan wished she had never opened that letter. She had to go to work early in the morning and there was no way she was going to get any sleep now. “I should call in I can’t work under these conditions.” Tristan whispered dazed and confused as she sat back down.

“I have no idea who I am anymore,” Tristan said as Ash jumped around down by her feet trying to get her attention. “There is whole other side to me a whole other culture I don’t even know about,” she said. She wondered who her parents were and what they were like. She wondered what events lead her to this confusing and frightening moment. She had so many questions that she did not know how to answer and did not have any money to pay people who could find out.

“Maybe I should just forget I ever saw this and just be okay with the family and life I already have.” She said as her dog jumped up on the couch and lay in her lap. “But what if they kidnapped me?” she exclaimed. “They should go to jail right?” she asked as her dog stared up at her. “Man I wish I had a boyfriend to about all this stuff with.” She said. “No offense Ash.” She said with a smile to her dog that began to lick her face.

“Half Cuban Korean and half black, huh.” She said. “This is fucking crazy I should have paid more attention in Spanish.” Tristan grinned. “Aw who am I kidding I knew I was black and that did not make me pay more attention in black history.” She said. “You know what Ash that actually makes me sad now that I think about it I really learn more about my culture!” She exclaimed. “Maybe tomorrow.” She added as she picked Ash up off of her lap and sat him on the floor.

Tristan got up from couch and made her way to the kitchen. She opened the refrigerator and just stared inside while Ash stood next her sniffing. She wasn’t even hungry she wanted to eat to keep herself busy. “Ooh I have three beers left and I think I will drink them all.” She said as she began to take the beers from the refrigerator. “I can’t believe I have had an entire conversation with a dog I really need some friends.” She sighed as she shut the refrigerator door and went back into the living room.

Tristan sat down on the couch and kicked her feet up. She turned on the TV and popped open a beer. As she engulfed herself in an infomercial she felt even lonelier than before. She thought knowing where she fit in would make her feel like less of an outside, less of the black sheep but it only alienated her more.

Dangerously Obsessed 2.8

Chapter 2
2.8 Hell To Pay: Prettier In Person

Valerie quickly wiped the tears from her face as she stood in front of her parent’s suite. She hated to cry in front of her parents because they always made such a big deal about everything. To them when Valerie was unhappy it was the end of the world. Although their devotion to her was sometimes embarrassing especially when you are in high school and you didn’t picked for school play and your mother has to let the entire school know that you were robbed. Valerie still appreciated their willingness to go to bat for her and she just hoped that when she became a parent that she would be as awesome as they were.

“I hope everyone is decent!” Valerie called out as she opened the door.

Her mother and father started to laugh. “We were about to come looking for you.” Her dad said as he sat on the couch next to her mother flipping through the channels.

“Yeah I am starving.”  Her mother said.

“I saw Dante’s cousin in the lobby think he works here or something.” Valerie said as she sat down next to her mother and placed the food on the coffee table. “I don’t think he saw me though.” She added as she began to take the food out of the bag.

“Are you sure?” her mother asked. “Because we can leave and go somewhere else.” She said.

“No, I’m not about to run from Dante anymore I’m scared of him.” Valerie said sternly. “I saw this really cute guy on the elevator.” She said looking out the corner of her eye to her father.

“Oh were you talking to me?” Her father asked confused when he saw her looking at him.

“Yeah.” Valerie grinned. “See I don’t need your help finding dates.” She said.

“So you two are going on a date?” he asked stunned.

“No not exactly he hinted at wanting to take me out but I was playing hard to get.” She replied.

“Uh huh is that so?” Her father asked with a smile. “See that’s exactly why have parents to force into doing things that you don’t want to do that turn out for the best.” He said.

“Yeah, yeah we will see this is the first date I let you set me up on so lets just see how it goes.” Valerie said as she took a bite of her food.

“They may have been my guy you seen on the elevator.” Her father said.

“Wait, what do you mean that might have been your guy?” Valerie asked stunned.

“Yeah honey, what do you mean?” Valerie’s mother asked.

“Well he is staying at this hotel too.” He replied.

“Are you serious?” Valerie asked.

“Yeah I figured if you said no to the date maybe fate would be on my side and two would run into each other.” Her father said nonchalantly.

“Dad does thing guy know what I look I like?” Valerie asked annoyed.

“I may have showed him a picture or two.” He replied.

“Dad!” she exclaimed.

Chapter 4
4.9 The Art Of Seduction: Why So Serious?

Angelica was extremely nervous, as she got dressed for her outing with the enemy. Her hands trembled, as she got undressed. Her heart began beat faster and her breathing become more and more frantic. There was no way to be sure just what Kimura knew or didn’t know. Kimura was a very cunning and manipulative man. You knew exactly what he wanted you to know when he wanted you to know it no more or no less. Angelica had to be smarter than Kimura was if she wanted to catch him. She had to stoop to his level. Angelica pulled the shortest tight dress from her closet. As she stared at she scrunched up nose in disgust.

“All that hard work training and studying to dominate in a male dominated field and I am reduced to wearing pushup bras and spandex.” She said angrily as she threw the dress onto the bed and put her hair in a ponytail.

Angelica went into the bathroom and turned on the shower. She didn’t want to keep Kimura waiting but she took pride in her appearance and good hygiene. There was no way she would leave the house without showering and at least putting on a little makeup. So what if he has to wait, she thought as she stepped into the shower. Angelica laughed, she wondered how many women if any Kimura had ever waited on. It probably drove him crazy sitting in his limo in his expensive suit waiting on the dancer that works at his club. The thought of this ruthless criminal being at her mercy made her smile and she intended on bringing him to his knees.

Angelica took her time showering. Then when got out of the shower she took her time putting on her makeup and doing her hair. When an hour had past she slipped on the little back dress and a pair of black pumps. She used her fingers to tousle her bleached blonde hair. She sprayed on some perfume then she walked out the front door of her apartment.

Kimura was standing outside of the limo smoking a cigar. “You know no one has ever made me wait.” Kimura chuckled as he put out his cigar.

“Well maybe no one was worth waiting on.” Angelica said with a grin as Kimura opened the door for her.

“I guess not.” He grinned as he took her hand and helped her into the limo. Kimura slid in beside her and shut the door. “So are you worth waiting for?” He asked.

“I would like to think so.” Angelica replied as the limo pulled out of the parking lot.

“Well I have to get to know you better but I think you maybe right.” He said as he ran his fingers through her hair.

“You remember that I’m married right?” Angelica asked.

Kimura laughed and lowered head. “So its serious?” he asked.

“Yes.” Angelica laughed.

“What do I have to do to make less serious?” Kimura asked as he stared into her eyes.

UnHappily ever After 1.3

Chapter 1
1.3 No Fairytale: Grasp, Understand, And Comprehend

Hye Ra could barely breath as she walked out the front doors of the restaurant and over to the valet. She reached into her purse grabbed her ticket and handed to the young handsome man standing behind the desk. Everything was spinning as she tried to catch her breath. She waited on the sidewalk as cars came and went. People stared and whispered as they passed her. She began to feel weak in the knees. Her body felt hot as she started to sweat.

“Ma’am are you okay you don’t look so well?” The valet attendant asked.

Hye Ra could see the valet’s lips moving but she could not hear a word he said. She caught the gaze of a very handsome man heading into the restaurant then before she knew it her eyes had rolled into the back of her head and went falling to the pavement. The man quickly caught her just before she hit the ground. She lay lifelessly in his arms as people gathered around her.

“Back up give her some breathing room.” He said to the crowd of people. “And someone call 911!” the man yelled as he shook her. “Ma’am are you okay?” he asked her as he continued to gently shake her.

Hye Ra slowly opened her eyes to see the handsome man hovering over her with a smile on his face. “What happened?” She whispered.

“You fainted.” He replied.

“Wow you are huge who are you?” She asked as he tried to stand up.

“I’m Jung Pai and you really shouldn’t try to get up so fast an ambulance is on its way.” He replied as he helped her up.

“I don’t need an ambulance I’m fine I just need my car.” She said sternly as she regained her balance. “I’m fine everyone you go on about your night.” She said annoyed as the crowd slowly began to dissipate.

“I really must insist you don’t look so well.” He said.

“Thank you Mr. Jung Pai but I’m fine.” She said as she snatched her arm away.

“You should at least let the EMT’s check your vitals.” Jung Pai said.

“What are some kind of gym rat who thinks he knows something about medical stuff now because you spend all of your time working out and eating right?” Hye Ra asked angrily.

“No I’m just a bodybuilder who has enough common sense to know that when people faint there is usual something wrong.” He said.

“Well not in this case.” She said as the valet pulled up with her car. “Thanks for your concern but here’s my ride.” She said.

“Well at least give me your number so I can call and make sure you made it home okay.” He grinned.

“You want my number so you can make sure I made it home okay?” Hye Ra asked shocked.

“Yeah is it so hard to believe that a man would want to assure the well being of a woman whose live he just saved?’ he asked.

“I think you are exaggerating.” Hye Ra said aggravated.

“No your head was about two seconds away from hitting the pavement before I caught you.” He replied. “I’m not going to let you leave until you either get checked by the EMT’s or give me your number.’ He added.

“Okay, okay give me your phone.” She said.

Jung Pai handed Hye Ra his cellphone and she put her number in it and handed it back. “Nice meeting you miss Yu Hye Ra.” He said with a smile as he went into the restaurant and the valet handed Hye Ra her keys.
